Donated books as well as those removed from the library collection are always for sale in our Book Store during library hours. New materials are added weekly, so check it out often. There is always something new and exciting to be discovered.
The Book Store prices are 50¢ for hardbacks, trade paperbacks and large format paperbacks and 25¢ for mass market paperbacks and children’s books. Magazines are also available for free.
Larger book sales are held on a regular schedule the first weekend of March, June, September and December.
Upcoming Book Sale
The Friends of the Roseburg Public Library will hold the Fall Book Sale in the Ford Room on September 4th, 5th and 6th.
Thursday, September 4 | 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Friday, September 5 | 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Saturday, September 6 | 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (free book day)
This will be a Bargain Book Sale with gently used books, including antique books and library withdrawals. Most books are priced at 50₵, and on Saturday books will be offered for free. Music CDs, books on CD and DVD movies are 50¢. Used children’s books and mass market paperbacks are 25¢ each. Colorful handcrafted book bags are available for $5.
After the book sale, the free clearance event will continue inside the library at the Friends Book Store.
Anyone wishing to help with the book sale please reply to this email at [email protected]. We always need volunteers to help with set-up Wednesday, September 3rd from 2 to 4:30 and take-down Saturday September 6th from 2 to 4. Thank-you to those who have already signed up to help.
