Book Sales

Donated books as well as those removed from the library collection are always for sale in our Book Store during library hours. New materials are added weekly, so check it out often. There is always something new and exciting to be discovered.

The Book Store prices are 50¢ for hardbacks, trade paperbacks and large format paperbacks and 25¢ for mass market paperbacks and children’s books. Magazines are also available for free.

Larger book sales are held on a regular schedule the first weekend of March, June, September and December.

Upcoming Book Sale

The Fall Book Sale will be held in the Ford Room of the Roseburg Public Library, 1409 NE Diamond Lake Blvd.

                        Thursday, September 5 | 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

                        Friday, September 6 | 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

                        Saturday, September 7 | 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (free book day)

This will be a Bargain Book Sale with all books in good condition but well loved. This includes books donated by the public and books withdrawn from the library collection.

Most books and audiovisual materials will be priced at 50 cents with mass market paperbacks for 25 cents. Selections include fiction, nonfiction, and antique books. Special art books and new editions published in the last three years will be offered for $5. Colorful hand-crafted book bags are available for $5.

During the book sale, leftover better books from the summer sale will continue to be sold at the Friends Book Store inside the library,   

Anyone wishing to help with the book sale please contact us. Shifts are available during the sale, and we always need volunteers to help with set-up Wednesday, September 4 from 2 to 4:30 p.m. and take-down Saturday, September 7 from 2 to 4 p.m.
